Girl Uncovered Part 1

You know the story of the princess who meets her prince and lives happily ever after... Yeah, ain't gonna happen in this story, well maybe not in the way expected... Who knew that a girls heart could ever hurt or go through so much pain!?! I seriously didn't think it was possible for me to experience those dreadful feelings. I thought I was indestructible, stronger than the average girl... Boy was I wrong...

Here I was... a girl who had hardly done anything with a boy, a girl who thought she could never feel something as strong as love for a boy, a girl just starting off her senior year, a girl who had no idea what she was getting herself into...

Sure my step dad would always mention him, but I didn't actually think anything would happen. I mean... come on, nothing ever really happened when it came to situations like that for me.

When I use the word him, I'm referring to the boy who works with my step-dad, the first boy I ever had any butterfly feelings for, the first boy to make my heart crack into a million tiny little pieces, something I never thought would be possible.

Our first contact, facebook, of course... Followed by him liking almost every profile picture that I had at the time, so of course I had to like his photos back. And then the famous facebook poking began, first from him and then from me. This went on for weeks, I didn't think we would ever reach real, actual communication...

Then came the day that my family and I went to go see my step-dad at work, he wasn't there, but he knew I was there because of the pictures I posted on facebook... The first real written words to me were on a picture of me and my mom that I had posted that night; it was "You both are beautiful!" I don't know about you, but if a boy calls me beautiful I'm definitely going to look into him!

This is where I came to the decision, I would finally message him... I have to admit this was pretty scary for me, I had so many thoughts going through my head, 'Is this right?', 'Is this too creepy?', 'WHAT AM I DOING?" Let's just say that the dialog in my head lasted a long while before I actually hit that big scary "SEND" button. It was sometime around two in the morning when I truly reached bravery... this is what I finally sent... "So what's keeping you up mister? :)" I had never been so terrified in my life... 'Will he reply?', 'Oh my gosh I'm so stupid!', 'What was I thinking??' these were a few of the many words that were going through my mind at the time.

So did he reply to me? Was it a complete failure, or was it just the beginning to something new and exciting?? Check in next week! More of the story will be revealed! Hope all of you are having a beautiful day! <3

My Boyish Name

Hey peeps! 

I figured I would tell you all a little bit about my name. 

If you didn't already know it, my name is Ashtyn.

Yes, Ashtyn.

That's when the person I'm talking to gives me a weird look and asks...

"You mean like Ashton Kutcher?"

No, I am not Ashton Kutcher,

Nor does my name have any relation to him. 

Yeah sorry to tell you, but I don't have a weirdo mom like that.

And no, I'm not a boy either.

This is what I deal with in a conversation about my name.

See... there is a reason for the 'Y' in my name.

That is what makes it a girl name people!

Yes, it is different, but hey! isn't being different the new cool?

The Red Tour in Utah!

Hey guys! Sorry that its been so long. I have been so, so busy lately, but guess what!?! School is out!! So I will be blogging a lot more now, Yay!!!

 Anyhoo, here are some pics from the Taylor Swift concert I attended last week! It was so, so, so amazing! I had such a blast and let me just say that Taylor and Ed are such talented people! I will always be one of their number one fans! Total Tswift fan over here! WHOOT, WHOOT!! Haha, and I must say that Ed Sheeran is quiet the hottie! Hehe, don't tell him I said so!

Christmas Vacation: Day One!

Hey guys! I hope you are all having a wonderful Christmas Holiday! I just got back from my amazing ten day vacation! It was so much fun!

My plan is to show pics from each day of my trip, what do you think? Good idea right? Lol, these pictures are of the first day of my vacation. We stayed in Las Vegas for a day before heading to California and this is what we did! Way pretty right? I love the Bellagio; it always just looks so amazing every time I go there.

First Record!!

Wonder Woman!

Wonder Woman has always been one of my favorite super heros. She is just so powerful and amazing! I love Wonder Woman so much that I have the wonder woman barbie doll, a wonder women wallet, wonder women pajamas, wonder women underwear, and a wonder women t-shirt. To top it off, I was wonder women for halloween! Haha! It was pretty fantastic! I am a very devoted fan!

My first Book Review

I loved this book, its something that is completely different from anything I have ever read. It is such an  strange, fantastic idea; that death could fall in love with a soul. This story reminds me of the movie Meet Joe Black; which I must say is one of my favorite movies!

 Back to the book though, if you are one of those girls out there that loves dark, magical, romance then this is the book for you. Abbi Glines did an amazing job at writing Existence. The love that Dank (death) and Pagan share is something so powerful; it sometimes felt like I was actually in the book when I was reading. I can not wait to read the rest of Pagan and Danks journey, I hope it has a happy ending. c:
